Clean and reviving with a smooth, creamy finish, Quintara is the Chardonnay that never fails. It’s hard to find an occasion this wine isn’t perfect for:  it has a place at the dinner table, in the hands of your hostess, and it makes the perfect companion for enjoying with friends.

 

Quintara is made in California where sunny days allow the grapes to fully ripen while foggy mornings help them to maintain a balanced acidity, striking the perfect balance in your glass. Notes of apple, white peach, and pear are followed by vanilla and a touch of butter for a smooth, easy finish.

Want to know where that buttery flavor comes from?

 

It’s classic, it’s creamy, it’s perfect really. And while that lightly toasted note comes from oak, the butter actually comes from a naturally occurring process that happens while your wine is being made called malolactic fermentation, or, “malo” for short.

 

Let’s get a little geeky here: during malo, the malic acid which tastes tart and green is converted to softer, creamier lactic acid. The wine softens and becomes round in the mouth. And that’s what makes Quintara taste so delicious!

Best when chilled.

Quintara is fruity with notes of apple, pear, and white peach, so give it a nice long chill before serving. Even at its coldest, this wine will go down smooth. Pair it with sage-butter chicken, loaded baked potatoes, lobster rolls, or Pad Thai.
