ABELIA

ROSÉ

ITALY

Abelia-ROSATO.jpg

Light, crisp, and dry.

Abelia is a Rosé that goes down easy... what more could you want? Light as a feather with a crisp bite that perfectly tempers any hot summer day, this pink wine is not technically Rosé, instead, it is called Rosato.

Rosato is a rare Italian Rosé made from indigenous Italian grapes. But the name isn’t the only thing that’s different; this is a pink wine that makes a slight departure from what you’ll taste in the Rosés of France or California. What doesn’t change — the wine is dry, fruity, and adorably pink.

In this bottle, you’ll find the red fruit aromas that make Rosé so lovable: strawberry, cherry, plum, and raspberry. But you’ll also find something totally unique: flowers. Gardenia, jasmine, and violet create a distinctive bouquet that will have you going back for more.

If the grill is open, Abelia should be too!

Rosato, like Rosé, is destined to be poured in a backyard under the afternoon sun while the grill is being fired up. Grilled chicken, grilled seafood, kabobs, summer vegetables, and even hot dogs (yes, you heard that right!) will make the perfect pairing for this Rosato.

How is pink wine made?

Rosé is one of the oldest styles of wine, dating back to Roman times. It’s typically made with either red grapes or a blend of red and white grapes. The light pink color comes from fermenting the grapes at cooler temperatures for a shorter amount of time than red wine. This method also preserves the aromatics, creating a wine with delicate flavors. In Rosato, this is always followed by bursts of flowers and spice.

Rosato is all about nuance and delicacy, making it the perfect drink for hot summer days.
